Define the object of study

Choose one statement, product name, image or documented event. Write a question narrow enough to answer: “Did this speaker use salvation language in this interview?” differs from “Does this company intend to replace religion?” The first may be resolved by the recording; the second needs additional evidence and may remain unknowable. Define the period and languages you searched.

Object: __________. Research question: __________. Time and language scope: __________.

Preserve a traceable source record

Record author or speaker, title, original publisher, publication date, event date if different, URL and access date. For audio and video, add a timestamp and identify whether the words come from the speaker, an interviewer or an edited caption. Keep a short necessary excerpt with surrounding context notes. Respect access controls and reproduction limits; a link alone does not ensure future availability.

Original source: __________. Exact location: __________. Event date: __________. Publication date: __________. Accessed: __________. Permitted preservation location: __________.

Separate evidence and interpretation

Documented fact: what the source establishes. Meaning: the history or ordinary sense of a reference, supported separately. Public reaction: who responded, where and under what conditions. Christian interpretation: an explicitly situated judgment with reasons. Predictions made by a source: record their assumptions and uncertainty without adopting them as established facts. Do not fill a category with invented content merely to complete the worksheet.

Established fact: __________. Reference meaning: __________. Observed response: __________. Interpretation: __________. Unresolved: __________.

Test a naming claim

A company’s use of a name and the reason it selected that name are separate propositions. A classical dictionary can establish an association; it cannot establish corporate motive. Search for an original naming explanation, record its wording and note alternative ordinary meanings. If no explanation is found, write “not established in the sources inspected,” with the search scope. Avoid universal claims such as “the company has never explained this.”

Name used: __________. Historical source: __________. Company rationale source: __________. Alternatives and limits: __________.

Describe reaction without manufacturing a public

Record the sample’s boundaries before drawing conclusions: platform, dates, selection rule, language and number of items inspected. Distinguish journalists, institutional statements, professionals and ordinary users where their roles are actually known. Several widely shared posts show visible reactions, not a population estimate. Record disagreement and non-religious explanations. Do not collect private information to fill demographic gaps.

Sample and selection: __________. Views observed: __________. Missing voices: __________. What this sample cannot establish: __________.

Make interpretation answerable to evidence

A Christian reading can ask about truthfulness, human dignity, power, neighbor-love and the location of hope. Explain the connection rather than attaching a verse as decoration. Read Proverbs 18:13 and 18:17 as prompts to hear an account fully and examine another side, not as proof that one technical policy is correct. State the strongest counterevidence and what would change your conclusion.

Proverbs 18:13,17 (NIV)

Interpretation and reasons: __________. Counterevidence: __________. What would change the conclusion: __________.

Prepare a usable citation

Include the original source in your bibliography and cite AI Faith Monitor separately when using our analysis. Keep source dates distinct from article revision dates. For a quotation, preserve exact wording and mark omissions. Before sharing, compare the headline with what the evidence actually supports. A memorable phrase must not carry a stronger accusation than the body can substantiate.

Citation: __________. Claim checked by: __________. Date: __________. Outstanding uncertainty: __________.
